With love, from San Francisco... July · 2017
When Roxanne first called us she presented us with quite the task, she had already planned her dream wedding in Napa Valley but after deciding to relocate to Mallorca she was looking for the perfect planner to make it a reality! We spent 6 months planning Roxanne and Mehdi´s very special day via phone and video calls and finally had the pleasure to meet these two beautiful souls just a few days before the wedding date. The couple gave us complete carte blanche and trusted us to do what we do best. The goal was to create an incredible love filled wedding celebration for Roxanne & Mehdi to share with their nearest and dearest and their extended family and friends travelled from all over the world to celebrate their very special, traditional Persian marriage.
The weekend began with an urban pre wedding celebration in the port of Palma, with a backdrop of sparkly super yachts. The port side restaurant is one of our favourite cocktail venues in Palma which offers a modern fusion menu with fresh stylish décor and impeccable service. It was a joyful reunion of distant family and friends, they enjoyed delicious, freshly made sushi and finger food whilst congratulating the couple on their upcoming love filled union.
The wedding took place the following day at a grand Mallorquin finca. There were three elements to the wedding day which had to be just right, one of them being the traditional Persian ceremony. Roxanne sent over decorative props from California and together with the florist and a lot of pinterest, we designed our first Sofreh (Persian ceremony stage). A family friend officiated for the couple to ensure the ceremony maintained the precious traditions whilst staying intimate and personal.
It was also very important to the couple to bring in elements of fun to the celebration, for all ages! We brought in a Kids Fun Corner, a delicious Italian Gelato cart and for the bigger kids we created a cigar & whisky bar which guests enjoyed under the stars.
The wedding cake was a naked 3 tiered chocolate cake, each tier a decedent twist on a traditional chocolate flavour and decorated with white & coral flowers. Roxanne & Mehdi performed their carefully rehearsed Waltz as their first dance in front of guests before sitting down to an elegant 3 course wedding breakfast.
After dinner we saved the best for last, guests were invited to continue celebrating into the night in a tailor made, luxurious, Moorish themed party room. We used lighting to create a soft peach and golden wash on the ancient stone walls and from within the made to measure bar. A crystal chandelier hung in pride of place and the absolutely gorgeous coral sunset peonies added bursts of colour to the draped cocktail tables and lounge furniture.
The guests danced the night away to the sounds of their international DJ, created lasting memories in our favourite Fotomaton and before taking private shuttles home the couple gifted handmade pots of local Mallorcan honey to their guests.
The third day was the perfect end to a beautiful weekend on our paradise island. A post wedding beach day with paella lunch, left over wedding cake and lots of water games in the clear turquoise sea.
Needless to say Roxanne & Mehdi had a wonderful time and were really pleased that they got to actually have fun and truly enjoy their wedding weekend!
