There never has… and never will be such a wedding as this! David & Sita´s wedding day was truly a celebration of a lifetime and filled with so much love!
We started planning a year ahead and we needed every minute to plan this epic celebration.
David & Sita met in their early 20s and after almost a decade of growing together and blending their lives they finally celebrated the day everybody knew would come sooner or later.
300 is a large number of guests for a destination wedding but the union of these two warm hearted, fun loving and generous people could not be missed by all of their friends and family. The day itself was a true testament to how much David & Sita love and are loved, what a sight it was to behold.
Following their formal Shabbat dinner the previous Friday, the concept for this special day was natural, elegant, barely traditional and one HUGE party.
We transformed the blank canvas rustic finca on the South West coast to create a day of big reveals and wonderful surprises.
The front driveway was recycled from a dusty car park into a shady, elegant and rustic cocktail area with rustic carpeting and teams of provincial potted plants shipped in from the mainland. Guests drank refreshing summer cocktails under large cream parasols and solid wood cocktail furniture was adorned with pots of lavender and candles.
After cocktails and canapés the guests were led through to the ceremony lawn. The bride was clear from the beginning that she wanted simple and elegant with no flowers what so ever (but we managed to tie a few on the chuppah!)
The chuppah was hand made with stripped back local wood and silk draping.
The very special photo team of 7 (and drone) came all the way from Isreal and captured every detail perfectly, as you can see from the gallery of timeless and heartfelt images of the couples´ very special day.
The theme for the grand banquet was sharing, sharing, sharing.
With long, hand made, wooden tables holding 30 guests at each, sharing starters were laid out for guests to dive into.
Guests were blown away as soon as they walked through the arched doors and faced by the 20 piece live band on a 10 metre stage all handled expertly by Velvet Music. A 40 minute hora ensued where the whole bridal party joined in lifting the couple high in the air and watching them come together in their ´first dance´ moment.
The rest of the night was spent eating from the magnificent grill and huge paella dishes, drinking from the 3 tailor made bars and dancing on the made to measure dance floor. The incredible concert was brought to an end after hours of dancing so the friends of the newlyweds could show us their mini movie they had made as a special surprise presentation which brought laughter and tears to all of our eyes.
The after party continued under the stars in the finca´s stunning courtyard until the next morning with late night snacks and of course a polaroid photo book to capture the late night fun!
This was a celebration and a match made in heaven, the family became dear to us and it was an honour to realize such a long held dream for a couple whose only wish is to be… together forever
